Kym Russell is Co-Founder of Russell Cellular and remains an active advisor with a pivotal role in the organization. She and her husband Jeff started Russell Cellular in 1993. Kym took responsibility for the day-to-day business operations establishing a duplicatable franchise-like system which set the path for fast and sustainable growth. She encourages a small-town family environment for their team members and works diligently to maintain that strong company culture as the business continues exponential growth nationwide.
Kym serves on the Executive Council and leads special initiatives, such as employee development, corporate image, and branding, as well as creating the bi-annual company magazine, RC Connections. Kym was integral in the design of the 40,000 square foot National Home Office building, involved in every detail—from creating the first draft of the layout and working with design firms, to choosing fixtures, furniture, and decor throughout.
Originally from Illinois and raised in Harrison, Arkansas, Kym moved to the Springfield, Missouri area with Jeff in 1993. Committed to supporting team members and positively impacting the communities in which Russell Cellular does business, Kym and Jeff established the RC Cares program to support both Russell Cellular team members in times of need and community outreach projects. Locally, the Russells most notably support the Great Circle of Missouri, a charity committed to caring for at-risk children and their families. Kym enjoys traveling with family and friends, is a foodie and wine enthusiast, and likes hosting family, friends, and business associates. She is proud of working alongside her children and is the happiest playing with her grandchildren.
