Verizon Discount Plans for First Responders
From putting out fires to performing life-saving medical treatment, first responders across the country are there for us when we need them most. To show appreciation to these incredible men and women, Verizon is offering first responder discounts that could save you up to $25/month on your mobile bills. Further discounts are also available for entertainment packages and fiber-optic home internet service.
Who are first responders? These discounts are available to all state and local first responders who are active, retired, or volunteers. That includes:
- Emergency Medical Technicians
- Emergency Medical Services
- Law enforcement, including State Troopers, Sheriffs, Sheriff’s Deputies, and local police
- Next of kin of first responders killed in action
Available Verizon First Responder Discounts
5G Unlimited mobile plans
Your available monthly discount on a Verizon 5G mobile plan as a first responder is based on how many phones you have:
- 1 phone: $10/month discount per account
- 2-3 phones: $25/month discount per account
- 4+ phones: $20/month discount per account (reflecting the discounts already applied to accounts with four or more Unlimited plans)
Your plan not only saves money, but also connects you to the world’s most reliable and responsive mobile network. Our 5G Do More, 5G Get More, and 5G Play More plans also come with free entertainment subscriptions to provide endless enjoyment for the whole family.
Account-level discounts for standard plans
If you’re not ready to sign up for 5G, you can still get a discount on most other Verizon standard plans. Firefighters, medical personnel, law enforcement, and families are eligible for a 15% discount on monthly access fees for any plan worth $34.99 or more.
Verizon Fios Home Internet
This 100% fiber-optic network ensures you receive the fastest possible internet speeds. As a first responder, you might qualify for a Fios discount of up to $15/month if you live in a key metro area in a mid-Atlantic or New England state.
How to get your first responder discount
Applying your mobile and Fios home internet discounts takes less than two minutes. All you need to do is:
- Confirm that you’re eligible for the discount using Verizon’s partner ID.me verification tool.
- Add the discount to your account when you’re returned to the Verizon website.
If you already have a Verizon plan, you’ll automatically receive the discount on your monthly bill. If you don’t, switch to a qualifying plan to start saving money.
First responder discounts aren’t limited to existing Verizon customers only. If you haven’t signed up yet, you can get the discount when you open an account.
While your discount won’t appear in your shopping cart, you’ll receive an email to confirm that you qualify. These savings will be shown on your bill within 1-2 billing cycles, and will continue throughout your Verizon contract.

Accountability is owning what we do and how we do it. It represents the boundaries for how we engage in our thinking and doing.
Intention on its own is powerful. It is defined as a determination to act in a certain way. To be focused in manner and approach to our desired actions towards a desired outcome.
