MagSafe was first introduced to iPhone users in the fall of 2020, when the iPhone 12 was released. Originally developed by Apple in January of 2006, with the MacBook Pro. It is a series of magnetically attached power connectors. Allowing you to snap charge your iPhone, similar to how the Apple Watch snaps to its charger. From the iPhone 12 to the iPhone 14 they are made with a ring of magnets built in around a Qi charging coil. For ideal alignment between the iPhone and the charging pad.

You might wonder if MagSafe is good for iPhone charging. Good news, it is! MagSafe allows for faster charging, up to 15 watts. The design allows for precise alignment while charging. Along with that charging is so easy, with the magnets it just snaps on. You don’t even have to take the case off, if you have a MagSafe case.
